Tara practices in the areas of subrogation and commercial litigation on behalf of insurance clients and extends her practice to the defence of both bodily injury and property damage claims. Tara is fluently bilingual, having obtained her J.D. and LL.L. from the University of Ottawa entirely in French. Common issues for which Tara is often sought to provide counsel include construction-related litigation and contractor’s negligence, property damage, occupier and product liability, and contractual disputes. Tara has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice and the Provincial Offences Court.

Prior to joining MCDR, Tara interned, summered and articled at a large national firm located in Ottawa. As a student, Tara assisted on and carried her own commercial and civil litigation files, acting for a wide variety of corporate clientele. While at the University of Ottawa, Tara was one of 19 students accepted into the combined J.D. and LL.L. program, designed to allow select students to obtain two law degrees in three years, and enrolling students into courses combining practicum from both Canadian legal systems. Tara obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts from York University in 2013, where she participated in an exchange to Thessaloniki, Greece, and studied Greek Civil Law.
